When we first arrived in Chile, we were graciously welcomed by Francisco and Evelyn and their family with a dinner party. We have been good friends ever since. When Artie's coming retirement was announced, they organized the first farewell dinner for us. Artie was presented with a lovely plaque of appreciation and friendship.

Another year end gathering was with Artie's Aikido group in Mirasol. Left to right are Arturo, Katy, Maria Elena, Lissel, Germán, Artie, Margy, and (seated) Sensei Gonzalo.

We enjoyed some conversation inside the house, a nice meal at a country restaurant, and chatting and fun at poolside.

Margy and Florencia had a good time playing with Agustín's hippo. He didn't know it could blow bubbles and squirt water!

We enjoyed seeing the sun set as we headed back to Santiago at the end of the day and almost the end of 2007!
