Our 3rd USA Trip in 2005

Now that we own a condo in New Hampshire, we have more opportunity to visit with family. During December, when we went there to set up our apartment, we made visits to Upton and Waltham in Massachusetts, Toms River and Lakewood in New Jersey, and West Gardiner in Maine.

On our first night in the USA, we met Marianne, Larry, Roberta, Max, Maddie and Danny at a restaurant that was midway from each of our three homes. We saw all of them again at various times during the week.

And Next New Jersey

Along the way in our green rental car we discovered a flat tire. Artie refilled the tire and we made it to the rental agency in the next city, so we arrived in a red one.

Among our stops, was a quick visit to Jill's house to see the changes that they had made, especially the new fish tank. Kevin and Brian were at home also.

Adella has been making a good recovery after breaking her hip in November. She can walk with a walker, but for the evening out, she used a wheel chair.

After we enjoyed watching some Aikido videos that Artie had brought, Shelley arranged for us to drive through a fantastic Christmas light display that her friends do each year.

The next day, we managed to fit in a visit to Toms River Fitness before we left NJ.

We went to Maine for a few hours to see Stevie and Nadine. They will continue living in their cozy cottage (at the left and in the middle at the right), until they finish building their house, hopefully in 2006.
We visited them in their little house and played with their cats before they showed us the new house that they have been working on for a number of years.

Stevie is a professional musician, and after lunch, he took us to the music store where he gives individual lessons to 30 students. During the summer he is very busy playing gigs. He played for us, and then Artie played too.
