The Hesch Family Visit

Our college friends, Sherry and Stewart came for a visit August 7-16, 2003 with their younger daughter, Allison.

We took them to Valparaíso and Viña del Mar where we enjoyed the sunset over the water. Stewart was so taken by actually being at the Pacific Ocean he didn't notice that big wave rolling in.

After our party for Mónica's birthday, Allison and Coté went out for the evening and we older folks went to bed!

One can see the changing of the guard only on Sundays at Plaza de Armas.   On Sunday we all went sightseeing in el Centro. After watching the changing of the guards in the Plaza de Armas, they posed for pictures with this guard.

Another part of their adventure involved some wonderful skiing in the Andes for Allison and Stewart. They spent the night there and skied again the next day, but Sherry, Artie and I headed back down to Santiago after enjoying the sunny day on top of the mountain.
